Environment: staging; current application data requires the API.

Use Remy Sport in a browser or install its web app, and understand why some iPhone links still open in Safari.

You can use Remy Sport in your browser. When installation is available, the app
offers guidance for adding it to your device. The installation experience depends
on your browser and operating system.

## Install the web app [#install-the-web-app]

Open Remy Sport in your browser and use the install option when it is offered.
Follow the browser's instructions, then open the installed app from your device.
The install option may take a moment to appear, or may be absent if the browser
does not support installation or the app is already installed.

## Device differences [#device-differences]

### iPhone and iPad [#iphone-and-ipad]

Open the app’s installation guidance in a supported browser and follow the steps
shown for your device. After installation, use its home-screen icon.

### Android [#android]

Use the install option offered by your browser or the app. If it is absent, you
can continue in the browser; it may also mean the app is already installed.

### Desktop [#desktop]

A supported browser may offer installation. Remy Sport also works in a normal
browser window without installation.

## Why does an iPhone link open in Safari? [#why-does-an-iphone-link-open-in-safari]

An ordinary external link can open in Safari even when the web app is installed.
Installing the web app does not guarantee that links from email or another app
will open its installed window. You can open Remy Sport from its home-screen icon.

## Notifications and sign-in [#notifications-and-sign-in]

Installation and permission to send notifications are separate. Read
[notification settings](/en/notifications) to check your device's status.
Use the [email-code sign-in guide](/en/sign-in) when the app asks you to sign in.
